Novel study!

Afterwards By David HIll What was the climax of the novel? Aside from Logan's dad dying, there was also a women named Kahla who claimed she talked to dead people! ( Which later on they figure out is false ) What were the major the things which helped to resolve the plot? Ruth helping Logan figure out the truth about Kahla. Is the novel realistic / believable? Why? I think it sounds realistic because it sounds like a true story that  possibly could happen in real life. Would you recommend this novel to a friend? No, as it would not be a pick i would pick out so i assume it would be the same for them.  Did this novel meet you expectations? Why? I did not have expectations in the beggining, but as i read on, i began too. By the end i would say yes, they were meet partially because i thought Ruth would be a fake as well but she wasn't. Term 2 reflection!

-Term 2 reflection- My highlights of term 2 was the Tahuna Sports Exchange. It was a lot of fun to compete in. Even though we lost by 7 shots, i still really enjoyed playing. The team we played were very good, they also had a few Otago rep players that added to their skill. It was a challenging game but i think our team pulled through and did very well! I also enjoyed umpiring and playing netball on Saturdays, it is always a lot of fun! This term i have improved in my math's heaps! Mrs.Garret has definitely helped me improve. I have learnt a lot in the geometry learning centre. I certainly had no clue about how to calculate the value of angles or how to use construction lines .etc but now I'm  really good at it! One of my challenges this term was keeping calm with frustrating situations and reading every night. That was one of my goals for term 2 and surprisingly i achieved it! I very much disliked how we have sat at the same desk for 2 whole terms (half a year!) .

Novel study!

An elephant in the garden What was the climax of the novel? Probably the part near the end when they finish their walk from Dresden and see all the tanks and soldiers, also when Marlene runs away. What were the major things which helped to resolve the plot? When they found peter in the barn and when they came across the house that Hans and the countess owned. Is the novel realistic/believable? Why? I think  it sounds realistic because the scene was set in WW2. The events in the book also sound believable because some of those things actually happened. Would you recommend this novel to a friend? Now that I've read the novel, i think i would. Although if i hadn't of read it and  just looked at the cover, i wouldn't. It's certainly not my type of novel. Did this novel meet your expectations? Why? I honestly didn't have high expectations at the start as i had no clue what this novel was about. I expected it to be quite detailed though, and

Where I'm from...

I'm from early mornings and late nights, daily jobs and dirty gumboots.. From the short showers and heaps of laundry to wash, hang and fold, I'm from stuck on the motorway, slow traffic and fast frustration, I'm from "THAT'S NOT ON!" and "BE BEHAVED!".. From family gatherings and lots of laughs, smoking barbie's, salad and more... I'm from everlasting memories, stuck in books and perched on old shelves...
